Tom Ashbrook, the neoclassical artist and composer from Liverpool, has announced the launch of his latest album, ‘Nocturnes’.  The new self-released LP is set to be available on June 30th 2023.

The album features a diverse blend of styles, from warm pads and strings in The Blue Hour’ to piano melodies in Nocturne in Eb Minor’. With upbeat drums, the tracks take listeners on an emotional and introspective journey.

Tom explains, Nocturnes is a collection of character pieces inspired by the fall of night. The opening track, ‘Dusk’, features somber Juno chords and field texture recorded around 5:50 pm. This track introduces the time, setting, and color palette of the album.”

In line with the announcement, Tom Ashbrook also shared the drop of ‘Nocturne III’, the first single to be taken from the incoming LP.

‘Noct 3’ is a modern concept piece inspired by contemporary dance and an evening travel piece, consisting of 8 intricate piano recordings, and a downtempo house best made from recording parts of the piano I intended to create a modern nocturne concept.” explains Tom.
