Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs releases new EP inspired on birds sounds

What started as a musical greeting to his friends, became a musical project.

Orlando Higginbottom, better known as Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs announced the release of ‘I Can Hear the Birds’, a four-track ambient EP written and recorded during the first few weeks of isolation.

The material was created with the help of his friends from all over the world, and, as its name suggests, is inspired by the sounds of birds, whose singing is heard louder than ever during the silence of the quarantine.

‘On March 22 a friend sent me a recording of the birds that kept her awake in the Canary Islands (…), I took it and made some music to send as a gift. The next day, I spoke with a friend in South London, who also commented on the loud sound of birds in his garden, so I requested a recording (…) Again, I sent him music a day or two later’.

After that dynamic exchange, the artist continued to receive messages and even bird drawings, which he interpreted as a signal to release ‘I Can Hear the Birds’. You can listen and buy the new Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs EP here.
