Brazilian electronic label Tropical Twista Records has unveiled its landmark 100th release ‘TTR0100’, a diverse compilation that both honors its roots and signals a new direction. The carefully curated collection features 13 distinctive tracks from artists who have shaped the label’s journey.
The compilation brings together established names like Ibu Selva, Afterclapp, and Barda alongside emerging talents such as Jin Yerei, Kusht, and La Dame. The roster also includes Lui Mafuta, Rudiger Eisberg, Pigmalião, San Ignacio & Filo, Palmer, Tha Guts, Urubu Marinka, and Kurup—each contributing their unique perspective to the project.
While evolving the label’s sound, the compilation maintains Tropical Twista’s signature downtempo style. “‘TTR0100’ is an ode to the sonic aesthetic that brought us here while simultaneously marking the beginning of a new era,” says Palmer, one of the label’s head figures.
Artist Juliana Lira’s minimalist visual design bridges natural elements with downtempo aesthetics, creating a new visual direction for the label.
