Twitch presents its new feature: Soundtrack

An alliance to avoid reprimands when selecting music.

‘Soundtrack’ is the name of the new service offered by Twitch, which allows its users to integrate licensed music into their broadcasts without the risk of being penalized by copyright infringement. This feature incorporates a plug-in in your streaming software, such as OBS, to create a new audio channel.

Through this tool, the platform offers its content creators the possibility of accessing a selected collection of music with authorized rights. ‘Soundtrack’ will initially feature more than a million tracks from 30 different labels and sources, including DistroKid, SoundCloud, Anjunabeats, Monstercat, Ninjatune, Future Classic, and more.

To start playing a song, you just have to start the tool and search for the song you want. The song list is based on genres, moods, and labels or radio, which simply broadcasts music of a particular style. Both playlists and radio are curated by Twitch staff and partners.

The platforms that have authorized their rights to Twitch are:

Soundcloud
Distrokid
Cdbaby
Empire
Westwood Recordings
United Masters
AlphaPop
Popgang
Text Me Records
DimMak
Create Music Group
Chillhop
Soundstripe
