GRAMMY-nominated artist Tycho has announced the release of his sixth studio album, ‘Infinite Health’, scheduled for release on Friday, August 30, 2024. The LP’s debut song and video, ‘Phantom’, are now available for streaming.

The project, conceived by celebrated San Francisco songwriter, musician, and producer Scott Hansen, was co-produced with Chris Taylor of Grizzly Bear and Tycho’s guitarist, Zac Brown. The first look at ‘Infinite Health’ comes with the release of ‘Phantom’, accompanied by a video produced in collaboration with Ricardo B. Ponce, also known as Pixel Flux.

‘Infinite Health’ marks Tycho’s return to electronic-based production, focusing on breaks, drums, and rhythmic elements. These elements guide the rest of the instrumentation, resulting in a vibrant and effervescent sound, particularly evident in the lead single, ‘Phantom’.

Hansen describes ‘Phantom’ as a mix of nightclub lights and a mysterious entity, reflecting on the subtleties of existence and our confrontation with mortality. The track’s bassline played on a Juno emulation, is a new addition to his musical style.

Following his previous works, 2020’s ‘Simulcast’ and 2019’s ‘Weather’, Hansen sees ‘Infinite Health’ as a new era for Tycho. While maintaining the collaborative efforts of Zac Brown and Rory O’Connor, the album is about hope, reflection, spiritual, emotional, and physical healing. It is both a tribute to the past and a toast to the future, encapsulating the concept of health in its entirety.
