Grammy Award-nominated electronic artist Tycho has released a new single entitled ‘Time To Run’.

The track features a driving beat with a jagged guitar motif provided by longtime Tycho guitarist Zac Brown. Also, the music video for the single, directed by Patrick Elmore, has also been released on YouTube.

The track is a collaboration between Scott Hansen, the mastermind behind Tycho, and Kaelin Ellis on drums. It was mixed by Grizzly Bear’s Chris Taylor and mastered by  Joe LaPorta (David Bowie, The Weeknd).

According to Zac Brown,  ‘Time To Run’ is exactly what he had imagined process-wise. “Scott took the initial guitar idea, which was a prettier and subdued vibe, sped it up and gave the guitars a sample-based treatment, which along with adding a staccato synth bass made the track super funky and bouncy.”

To celebrate the release of ‘Time To Run,’  Tycho will present the Golden States Festival on Saturday, July 15th, 2023 at Napa, CA’s Oxbow Riverstage. The one-day event, personally curated by Hansen, will feature classic tracks from Tycho’s acclaimed discography, along with never-before-heard music from their forthcoming album. The lineup includes all-star names such as Channel Tres, Panda Bear & Sonic Boom, Buscabulla, Washed Out (performing a DJ set), Brijean, and Kaelin Ellis.
