According to a letter obtained by Billboard.
After having to cancel their 2020 edition due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ultra Music Festival is set to be postponed for a second consecutive year. Following suit with most festivals for the 2021 circuit, Ultra is set to make the official announcement in the upcoming weeks, but are reportedly holding out until the City of Miami grants them a permit for 2022.
As Billboard reports according to a letter from Ultra’s attorney to the City of Miami, the organization states that the current situation with the pandemic is forcing a second cancelation. Per the letter, Ultra is seeking to gain approval to take place from March 25th to the 27th in 2022. They also demand that the festival’s payment contract with the city ‘be deemed modified to correspond with the rescheduled dates’.
