British duo Underworld just announced they are giving a special ADE keynote speech, followed by a gig at Amsterdam’s Rijksmuseum.
On October 18th Rick Smith and Karl Hyde will explore the importance and power of partnership and co-production in the development and presentation of ambitious projects and events in the 21st century. The duo will go deeper on some points of their career in a conversation with Robin Turner (Heavenly Social/Caught by the River) that will focus on managing creativity and co-production through the world of music and areas far beyond. One of the band’s closest partners – Simon Taylor – will provide a visual backdrop to the discussion that will include previously unseen images and footage from the band’s kept archives.
Following the keynote Underworld will be playing one exclusive gig on October 20th at the Rijksmuseum hosted by Audio Obscura, who launched the invite-only event last year with Maceo Plex. The venue is one of the most world-renowned museums for European art so it was no wonder that it took the team five years to win the approval to host these parties. After 2016’s successful event the partnership has now brought us one of dance music’s legendary acts.
Since this is an invite-only event you have to register for your chance to be on the guest list of 2000 people. You can register here, the deadline is October 17th.
** ADE’s Keynote speech will take place at the DeLaMar Theatre (room D4), Marnixstraat 402, 1017 PL Amsterdam on Wednesday 18th October 2017, 2 pm. The event is accessible for ADE pass and ADE conference pass holders.
