Dany Kole premieres the official video for ‘Take Me Back’, marking his first new material after a ten-year hiatus. The release sees the artist reconnect with the emotionally driven electronic sound that first earned him recognition during the early music blog era, while expanding it through richer production and a renewed visual identity.
Originally gaining attention through a string of independent releases, Dany Kole built a following with atmospheric songwriting and dreamlike electronic textures, culminating in the streaming success of ‘Pictures’. Rather than revisiting that period, ‘Take Me Back’ opens a new chapter that preserves the nostalgic qualities of his earlier work while exploring a broader sonic and visual palette.
Directed as a hybrid between a music video, visual artwork, and surreal short film, the video begins as a lo-fi memory of an island before gradually unfolding into a psychedelic landscape where familiar places and objects dissolve into increasingly fragmented imagery. The piece explores the way memories evolve over time, becoming distorted as they intersect with the constant flow of the present.
