Voices From The Lake, the revered ambient techno project by Donato Dozzy and Neel, have returned with their first new album in over a decade. Titled ‘II’, the record is set for release on December 5th, 2025, via the duo’s own Spazio Disponibile imprint. The announcement arrives alongside the debut single ‘Manuark’ and a visual collaboration with Dutch artist Heleen Blanken.

Originally conceived as a one-off live show in the Japanese Alps, Voices From The Lake released their seminal self-titled debut in 2012. The album quickly became a cornerstone in ambient and hypnotic techno, revered for its immersive design and meditative flow. Since then, the project has expanded into live sets, audiovisual installations, and label explorations—while remaining anchored in a sound described by the duo as “deep, aqueous, and boundary-pushing.”

“The project was never meant to become what it did,” the artists share. “At one point, we even paused it. Only to later embrace it in all its forms. ‘II’ is both a continuation and a reinvention.”

As part of Amsterdam Dance Event, Voices From The Lake will host a one-time immersive concert on October 22nd at THE OTHER SIDE. Presented in 360° using the L-ISA spatial audio system, the show will offer attendees a first full listen of ‘II’ before its official release. Grab your tickets here.
