Milan-based duo, Volantis & Matisa, recently announced their upcoming EP, ‘Notte Paradiso,’ which is set to launch via Permanent Vacation on May 10th. As a sneak peek into the full release, they have revealed the first track ‘SOL’.

Volantis & Matisa first connected at the renowned Somewhere Festival in Calabria, Italy. Their shared passion for electronic music fueled their collaboration, which notably led to the creation of the well-received ‘Amore 93,’ back in 2022.

Their latest work, the ‘Notte Paradiso’ EP, pays homage to Roby J, Farfa, and Miki the Dolphin, reminiscent of the golden era of ’90s Italo house music. It begins with ‘Incantesimo’, a piece that melds Matisa’s sultry vocals with the unique tones of Oberheim arpeggios and Moog basslines. The title track, ‘Notte Paradiso’, immerses listeners further into the duo’s distinctive sound, featuring Roland JD800 pads and Moog basslines.

The third track, ‘Galassia Sentimento’, is a psychedelic journey powered by an energetic guitar riff and a compelling rhythm. Set against the backdrop of the ARP2600 and Space Echo. The EP concludes with the recently released ‘SOL’, an ethereal composition. This track showcases sequenced synths and Juno pads, creating a colorful sonic sunset.
