Walker & Royce have finally unveiled the much anticipated ‘Splits 002’, the latest installment in their Rules Don’t Apply label’s EP series. The two-track record is already available to stream and purchase across all major digital platforms.
The newly dropped ‘Splits 002’ reignites the friendly fires with some groovy and delectable sounds by Canadians Smalltown DJs and Luke Andy.
‘This track was created during a time when I was experiencing romance in my life, and I wanted to capture the essence of Oxytocin, which is the hormone released in our bodies when we fall in love. I combined a driving bassline and a disco-inspired groove that helped me capture this vibe. This combination resulted in ‘Love Drug’, and it’s easily one of the tracks I’m most proud of (so far!).’ said Luke Andy about his involvement in ‘Splits 002’.
For their part, Smalltown DJs commented: ‘‘Seen You Before’ was designed to take the dance floor on an emotional flow that releases in an optimistic wave at the very end. We had the chance to test the track on Good TV’s Twitch streams to some very positive feedback. It was inspiring. Then to see auditory admirals Justin Martin and Walker & Royce play it in live sets was a big highlight for us. We’re very excited for this song to officially come out, especially on Rules Don’t Apply!’
