Icelandic singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist artist Björk has just unveiled her brand new single, ‘Atopos’. The new recording is the first glimpse at her incoming studio album, ‘Fossora’, which is scheduled for release on September 30th, 2022.
‘Fossora’ represents the artist’s figurative journey into the earth, a process inspired by personal grief and isolation during the pandemic. According to the artist herself, ‘Fossora’ can be best described as “biological techno”.
In line with the release, Björk also shared the official music video for ‘Atopos’, which presents the singer in a mushroom-inspired rave, as Gabber Modus Operandi‘s DJ Kasimyn takes over the decks.
