Daft Punk’s visual album ‘Interstella 5555’ returns to theaters for a one-night global event on December 12th, 2024. Tickets are now available for purchase, and the event’s official trailer has debuted today, offering a glimpse into the remastered visual spectacle.

This remastered 4K screening combines the French duo’s iconic music with stunning animation, offering fans worldwide a sensory spectacle. Originally conceived as a visual companion to Daft Punk’s ‘Discovery’ album, ‘Interstella 5555’ tells the story of an alien band kidnapped and exploited on Earth.

‘Interstella 5555’ was a collaboration between Daft Punk, Cédric Hervet, and manga artist Leiji Matsumoto. Directed by Kazuhisa Takenouchi and animated by Toei Animation, the film seamlessly merges Western electronic music with Japanese anime style.

The event will also showcase six of Daft Punk’s iconic music videos. Directed by filmmakers like Spike Jonze and Michel Gondry, these shorts highlight the visual artistry central to Daft Punk’s music.

The event will be screened in over 800 cinemas across approximately 40 countries and territories.
