Red Axes, the duo from Tel Aviv formed by Dori Sadovnik and Niv Arzi, just shared the recording of their live DJ set at this year’s Houghton Festival, showcasing their innovative style that pushes musical boundaries with their blend of post-punk, new wave, and eclectic club sounds.
This set, produced by Eyechant and directed by Ben Kirschenbaum, captures the vibrant energy of the festival. Under the artistic direction of Craig Richards, Houghton Festival made a triumphant return in 2024. The event featured a notable lineup from August 8th to 11th at the scenic Houghton Hall in King’s Lynn, Norfolk.
In addition to Red Axes, the event presented performances by Dopplereffekt, Actress, Daniel Avery, Grace Sands, James Massiah, John Tejada with Reggie Watts, Or:la, Sherelle, Ricardo Villalobos, Actress (Live), Rhadoo, Sonja Moonear, Ben U.F.O., Steffi, Terry Francis, tINI, Craig Richards, Mr. Scruff, Joy Orbison, Francesco Del Garda, Zip, Matthew Johnson (Live), Nicolas Lutz, and many more.
Houghton Festival is renowned for its non-stop music, long DJ sets, surprise performances, and an intimate setting. The stages provide varied acoustic environments, with The Warehouse showcasing a 360-degree Soundscape system for an immersive auditory journey. Also features art installations, wellness activities, and culinary delights.
