Romy, known for her work with The xx, has recently released the video from ‘She’s On My Mind’, included in her debut solo album, ‘Mid Air’.
The video aims to capture the excitement of a night out, perfectly reflecting the playful euphoria of the song itself. ‘She’s On My Mind’ features Maisie Williams, directed by Romy’s wife and visual collaborator, Vic Lentaigne, and was co-produced by Avalon Emerson, Fred again.., and Stuart Price.
‘Mid Air’ was officially released on September 8th, 2023. Romy describes the album as a “collection of songs celebrating love, navigating loss, and exploring identity.” Drawing inspiration from dance music, ‘Mid Air’ serves as a heartfelt tribute to the queer clubs that played a significant role in shaping Romy’s formative years, providing a sense of belonging and inspiration.
In addition to the music video release, Romy has announced a series of headline live shows across North and South America in the upcoming year.
