Two people have died and three others have been injured in a shooting at the campsite at the Gorge Amphitheatre in Washington. Local police confirmed the suspect’s arrest in the evening at 9:19 PM on the police’s Facebook page.
At the moment the shooting occurred, the electronic music festival Beyond Wonderland was taking place, which is a 20 to 30-minute walk from the camping grounds where many of the festival attendees were staying.
Grant County Sheriff’s Office confirmed two deaths and three injured, including the shooter himself, during the press conference.
“Due to the need to conduct interviews, gather data/evidence regarding the incident, and process the scene there are no additional details to release at this time. We ask that everyone be respectful of victims and their families as we work through these investigations. Updates will be provided in this post as they are available. Due to the volume of questions, we will survey the questions posted and answer them collectively in future updates rather than address them individually.” read the final Grant County Sheriff’s Office update.
