Seth Troxler’s new label, Slacker 85, just released its debut EP, ‘SLACKER001.’ The package showcases Seth and four other artists who have put their own spin on modern electronic music.
The label’s first release, ‘Pills,’ is highly anticipated and kicks off the launch. This low-slung acid groove has been a staple in Seth’s DJ sets worldwide for the past year. Following this is Jackmaster’s ‘Let’s Go,’ an effervescent jacking house tune that is set to take global dance floors by storm this summer. UK talent Ghoulish then drops ‘Forever Ugly,’ a romantic filter house earworm that transports listeners back to the halcyon era of Fred Falke and Alan Braxe. Closing the first batch is Cesar Merveille’s collaboration with André Baum. ‘The Finish Line’ features the Parisian, building a melodic analog groove while Baum invokes classic 80s electropop with his understated vocal.
