French musician, DJ, and producer Nico de Andrea is gearing up to release his anticipated debut album, ‘Love Therapy,’ on January 26th, 2024, through Armada Music. The album promises to take listeners on an emotional journey, exploring themes of nostalgia, longing, passion, and hope across its twelve tracks.
The lead single from the upcoming album is the collaboration ‘One Last Call’ featuring Tensnake and Lola Melita. With its graceful and near-balletic rhythm, the track instantly transports listeners into a state of serenity and release. The intricate production is complemented by Lola Melita’s captivating and dulcet vocals.
Drawing inspiration from personal experiences of impossible love, conflict, and separation, ‘Love Therapy’ delves into themes of nostalgia, longing, passion, and hope across its twelve tracks. The album explores the different phases of a relationship and the coping mechanisms required to navigate challenging times. From the fragile vulnerability of ‘One Last Call’ to the haunting darkness of ‘Start The Fire,’ and ultimately finding confidence and peace of mind with tracks like ‘Dreamin’ and ‘Million Times,’ Nico de Andrea takes listeners on an emotional journey.
Nico de Andrea’s musical journey began at 14, influenced by artists like Larry Levan, Masters at Work, and David Morales. He honed his DJ skills in vinyl bars, connecting with the audience on a personal level. Inspired by the response to his records, he started layering afro and Latin rhythms over house tracks, incorporating melancholic piano melodies. His distinctive sound gained recognition from tastemakers like Black Coffee, Pete Tong, Solomun, and Keinemusik.
‘Love Therapy’ holds deeper meaning for Nico de Andrea, as he found solace and expression in the studio during a difficult time in his life.
