Fabio & Grooverider will receive the Innovator Award at the 2026 Independent Music Awards, recognizing more than three decades of influence on UK music and club culture.
Presented by the Association for Independent Music, the ceremony will take place at The Roundhouse in London on September 22, 2026.
The drum & bass and jungle figures are being recognized for their role in the development of the genres and their contribution to bringing the music from underground club culture to wider audiences.
“We’re incredibly proud to be receiving the Innovator Award. We’ve spent our lives pushing this music forward, breaking boundaries and staying true to what we believe in, so to be recognised for that journey means a lot to us!,” Fabio & Grooverider said.
The final nominees also include Jim Legxacy, Fcukers, Mitski, Thundercat, Clementine Douglas, and labels including Ninja Tune, Dead Oceans, Because Music, FAMM, and Tru Thoughts.
