Orbital, the esteemed electronic music duo, has released a reissue of their groundbreaking 1991 debut album, commonly referred to as ‘The Green Album’. This reissue, brought to life by London Records, allows their fans to rediscover the iconic sounds that shaped the electronic music scene.
This updated version has been carefully remastered by Phil and Paul Hartnoll of Orbital, marking the first time the tracks have undergone such a process. The release is available in a variety of formats, including a 4LP Box Set, 4CD Box Set, 2LP (in black and colored variants), 2CD, and even a Cassette format for those with a nostalgic taste.
Originally released on September 30, 1991, ‘The Green Album’ is a treasure chest of Orbital’s innovative compositions. These include the duo’s 1990 single ‘Chime’, and the anthem ‘Belfast’. The reissue doesn’t just revisit the classics, it also includes early favorites like ‘Satan’ and a selection of previously unreleased tracks, making it a must-have in any fan’s collection.
To celebrate this significant release, Orbital has presented fans with a new track called ‘Tonight In Belfast’. This fresh collaboration includes David Holmes, DJ Helen, and Mike Garry. Additionally, they have reevaluated their pre-‘Green Album’ EPs with a series of ‘Orbital LEDs’ (Limited Edition Drops).
