Respected DJ Franchino, born Francesco Principato, has passed away, leaving a significant mark on Italy’s club scene.

His unique vocals and house/techno skills shaped the club scene not only in Italy but also internationally. Originally from Sicily, and later based in Tuscany, he transitioned from being a barber’s apprentice to a nationally acclaimed DJ, significantly influencing the country club culture.

From Elba Island to Tuscan venues such as the Imperiale, Insomnia, and Jaiss, and further to popular clubs on the Romagna Riviera, his impact was widespread. He performed globally, including in the Balearic Islands, Latin America, North America, and Japan, frequently collaborating with the Metempsicosi Record label.

Living by the mantra “vivere per vivere” (live to live), Franchino’s legacy will continue to inspire future generations.
