Joy Orbison has unveiled Fred again..’s edit of his popular single ‘flight fm.’ This innovative remix, titled ‘flex fm (freddit),’ blends the original version with Atlanta rapper Lil Yachty’s ‘Flex Up.’ The result is a genre-defying track that bridges electronic and hip-hop music.
The collaboration’s origins trace back to February 2024, when Fred again… first showcased the mix during his performances with Lil Yachty and Overmono at two New York venues: The Lot Radio and Knockdown Center. These shows celebrated the release of their joint single ‘stayinit.’
Fans got an early taste of the track on Friday, August 9th, when Joy Orbison shared a sneak peek on Instagram. The preview featured a video of Fred again… playing the edit for Lil Yachty, capturing the rapper’s first reaction to the remix.
Reflecting on the track’s journey, Joy Orbison expressed his enthusiasm for its widespread appeal.
