Producer, DJ, and artist La Fleur unveils her album ‘Väsen,’ now available on [PIAS] Électronique.
La Fleur’s music blends catchy synth and piano melodies with emotive vocals and intricate percussion, evoking deep emotions. This nine-track LP marks a new chapter in her career, inspired by her return to Sweden and pandemic experiences—including her work in pharmaceutical services at Stockholm’s emergency hospitals.
The album showcases the Swedish artist’s versatility: ‘Chian’ features assertive percussion and soulful vocals; ‘Slowdive’ offers fast beats and euphoric synths; ‘Stay With Me’ blends polyphonic elements with catchy melodies; ‘Plastic Miami’ combines upbeat rhythms with Kraftwerk-inspired synths; and ‘All I Ever Wanted’ presents a deceptively simple yet poignant composition. The title track ‘Väsen’ exemplifies La Fleur’s signature style with jazzy vibes and spacey synths. Each track balances intricate production with danceability.
Three exclusive instrumentals round out the album: ‘Sannanita,’ with moody synth chords and a deep buzzing riff; ‘Your Move,’ an upbeat track with nu-disco elements; and ‘Free My Mind,’ a catchy composition with fast percussion and emotional depth.
Reflecting on her creative process, La Fleur shares, “I’ve always drawn inspiration not only from music but from changing elements in my life. It’s only now I feel these tracks are ready for the world to hear.”
