Bristol-based electronic music artist Jody Wisternoff has released ‘Sweetest Thing,’ the second single from his third studio album, ‘Welcome To My World.’
The latest single, ‘Sweetest Thing,’ showcases Wisternoff’s refined production skills. It blends a thought-provoking spoken word sample with percussive grooves and evolving synths.
Wisternoff’s upcoming album, ‘Welcome To My World,’ promises to be a deep dive into his musical roots. Spanning 14 tracks, the album will feature the artist’s signature blend of emotive melodies, intricate production techniques, and his trademark breakbeats.
To support the album release, Wisternoff has announced a comprehensive global tour. The 29-date journey will take him across North America, the UK, Asia, and Australia, with performances scheduled in major cities including London, New York, Los Angeles, and Sydney. Wisternoff’s musical journey began at 13 when he reached the DMC World DJ Championship finals in 1986. This led to performances at iconic UK rave venues and events. A chance meeting with Nick Warren birthed ‘Way Out West’, achieving commercial success with their 1997 self-titled album and 2017’s fan-favorite ‘Tuesday Maybe.’
As a solo artist, Wisternoff’s ‘Nightwhisper’ album garnered over 20 million streams and industry support. He also shapes Anjunadeep’s sound, co-curating their popular annual compilation series.
