Houghton Festival has released an official statement following the death of an attendee at this year’s edition held in Norfolk. The festival took place across the grounds of Houghton Hall from August 6 to 9, 2026.
The organizers confirmed the incident after a woman was found unconscious inside a tent on Sunday evening. On-site medical teams administered treatment immediately before she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Norfolk Constabulary stated that the ongoing investigation treats the death as unexplained while noting it is not currently considered suspicious. The next of kin have been informed, and festival representatives continue to assist local authorities.
The 1000-acre event concluded its latest run earlier this week.
