AIONIA is set to host the inaugural TAU label showcase in Brooklyn on Friday, December 13th, 2024, featuring headline performances by the imprint founders Adana Twins and rising star Shubostar.
The event will take place at SILO, located at 90 Scott Avenue, Brooklyn, New York, from 10:00 PM to 4:00 AM, promising an intimate gathering that amplifies the connection between music and soul, in line with AIONIA’s dedication to timeless artistry.
Adana Twins, the German duo at the helm of TAU, have been influential figures in the electronic music scene since 2006. Combining Benjamin’s love of hip-hop with Friso’s passion for club music, they have produced a series of acclaimed releases that have earned them global recognition. Tracks like ‘Risen’ and ‘Jumanji’ are celebrated for their haunting melodies and emotionally charged soundscapes, solidifying their reputation for high-quality production.
In 2018, the Adana Twins launched TAU, a label aimed at providing creative space for their evolving sound and a platform to discover and nurture new talent. The imprint has showcased artists such as Innellea, Human Machine, and Daniel Bortz, establishing a strong presence in the electronic music community. Their collaborations with Berlin’s iconic Watergate have resulted in standout tracks like ‘Etah’ and ‘Zuul,’ and their remix of Patrice Bäumel’s ‘Roar’ reached No. 1 on Beatport, remaining in the charts for months.
Joining them is Shubostar, a rising DJ and producer from South Korea known for her cosmic and dark disco sounds. Blending disco with techno influences, she has become a prominent figure in the underground scene, captivating audiences with her unique musical style and energetic performances.
