Detroit’s underground deep house scene gets a fresh spotlight with Soiree Records International’s latest release, ‘QLine.’ This compilation, named after the city’s light rail system, brings together four producers who craft a sonic journey through the Motor City’s rich musical heritage.
The EP opens with Drivetrain’s ‘Belle,’ where layered samples create an entrancing atmosphere. Following this, DJ Cent delivers ‘Hold Out,’ blending deep, shadowy beats with powerful vocal elements.
J.Garcia takes listeners further underground with ‘Reflekt,’ fusing tribal influences with contemporary sound design. The compilation reaches its peak with BlakTony’s ‘Eastern Market (Shed 3),’ where pulsating rhythms and filtered grooves pay tribute to one of Detroit’s most beloved cultural landmarks.
