IMS Ibiza 2025 will spotlight the evolution of jungle and drum ‘n’ bass, celebrating four decades of the genre’s influence as both a movement and a community. Taking place from April 23rd to 25th at Mondrian Ibiza and Hyde Ibiza Resort in Cala Llonga, the event will bring together pioneers, innovators, and industry professionals to explore the past, present, and future of the genre.
This year’s summit will center around intergenerational exchange, fostering collaboration between industry veterans and emerging talents. A key highlight will be an exclusive conversation between Sherelle and an original jungle icon, delving into the legacy and future of club culture through the lens of jungle and drum ‘n’ bass.
Among the featured panels, ‘Four Decades of Jungle & Drum ‘n’ Bass: The MCs to the OGs to the New Breed’, moderated by Silvia Montello, will trace the genre’s cultural impact, featuring DJ Krust, historian Julia Toppin, Keir Tyrer (Shogun), and DJs Bailey and Charlie Tee.
The summit will also address gender equity within the scene through ‘Too Many Man, Too Many Many Man’, a discussion led by Julia Toppin with panelists MC Chickaboo, Amy Jayne (LabelWorx), Sarah Cole (AEI), and Nicola Whiskey Kicks (AEI), analyzing past challenges and the road ahead for female talent in the industry.
Another key discussion, ‘From Local to Global – The International Evolution of a Very British Genre’, will explore the genre’s expansion beyond the UK, featuring insights from industry figures such as Maja Cicic (AEI), Chris Goss (Hospital Records), Charlotte Kain (Spotify), and Duncan King (Skiddle), among others.
The celebration will culminate on April 25 with ’40 Years of Jungle and Drum ‘n’ Bass’ at Akasha Ibiza, featuring performances by Bailey, Charlie Tee, Krust, Lens, Mark System, Sherelle, and hosted by MC Chickaboo.
