Icelandic artist Björk will debut her acclaimed ‘Cornucopia’ concert film in cinemas worldwide starting May 7th, 2025.
The immersive visual project, produced in 4K and Dolby Atmos, will be shown in over 25 countries, including Australia, Brazil, Denmark, Germany, Sweden, the US, and the UK. Additional screenings are scheduled for Spain on May 8th, Canada on May 9th, and France on May 11th.
The ‘Cornucopia’ tour ran from 2019 to 2023, spanning 45 shows across North America, Europe, Oceania, and Asia. A hybrid of live music and theatre, the show featured music from Björk’s 2017 album ‘Utopia,’ with material from ‘Fossora’ (2022) incorporated into later performances. The concert was directed by Argentine filmmaker Lucrecia Martel and included a live ensemble featuring Bergur Þórisson, Manu Delago, Viibra flute septet, harpist Katie Buckley, and the Hamrahlid Choir.
The concert film will have a runtime of 1 hour and 39 minutes, followed by a special screening of three music videos curated by Björk herself. An excerpt was previously premiered on Apple TV+ in January 2025.
“I am so beyond enormously grateful to every single one of them,” Björk wrote on Instagram, celebrating the collaborative effort behind ‘Cornucopia.’ She described the film as “a matriarchially friendly construct, welcomed in the current climate,” adding, “where female musicians can share their worlds uncorrupted.”
Marc Allenby, CEO of Trafalgar Releasing, noted: “This is a rare opportunity for fans to come together for this unique immersive experience… we can’t wait to share it with audiences everywhere.”
Tickets go on sale March 27th at Björk’s Cornucopia official website.
