Italian producer and multi-instrumentalist Lorenzo Morresi returns with ‘Nonsense’, a bold new EP out now on his freshly launched label, Minus Me Plus World.
The lead single ‘Tucu Taca’ opens with a whispered vocal mantra and launches into an electro-samba workout bursting with percussion, timbals, and syncopated rhythms. ‘Giungla’ ventures into darker territory, layering distorted drums with AI voices and glitchy textures.
The title track ‘Nonsense’ is a tribute to Italian synth history, recorded at the Museo del Synth Marchigiano using rare vintage gear, including the legendary Synket – the world’s first portable synth from 1963. Closing the EP, Italian artist Francisco flips ‘Nonsense’ into a driving electroclash remix.
Blending rhythm and analog experimentation, ‘Nonsense’ highlights Morresi’s dual talent as producer-performer, with his solo instrumentation creating an intimate yet expansive sound.
