TRAX Records marks its 40th anniversary with the release of ‘RISING AGAIN’, a limited-edition vinyl pressing available now in just 500 hand-numbered copies. The release brings together pioneers of Chicago house with a new generation of artists, celebrating four decades of the genre’s evolution.

The six-track EP includes contributions from Joe Smooth and Screamin’ Rachael alongside rising talents KushGad, Spada, ThadX, and the duo Jacques x Gregory. Every track features vocals by Screamin’ Rachael, the current head of TRAX.

“This isn’t just about music,” said Joe Smooth. “It’s about giving back—House Music is Music of the People, and the non-profit spirit behind this project makes it extra special.”

Executive produced by Pi Rho, ‘RISING AGAIN’ was two years in the making and showcases an unprecedented fusion of analog warmth and modern innovation. The EP was mixed on a Neve console using vintage synths, while brain-computer interface technology was also employed to generate sound textures.

All proceeds from the release will go to SocialWorks, Chance the Rapper’s non-profit organization empowering youth in Chicago. The pressing also champions sustainability, using eco-friendly materials via Object Manufacturing in Berlin.
