El Silencio has officially opened Urusai Sunset Bar, Ibiza’s first true audiophile destination. Opened on June 13th, 2025, the venue sits on the island’s western coast at Cala Molí and brings together vinyl culture, Japanese ritual, and Balearic spirit in a one-of-a-kind sunset experience.

The concept is inspired by Japan’s jazz kissa tradition and curated by Jaime Fiorito, son of Balearic legend DJ Alfredo, who passed away in 2024. Urusai focuses exclusively on vinyl DJ sets and deep listening, featuring rare and reissued records from the 1970s to 2000s alongside contemporary picks. The rotating lineup of selectors includes global tastemakers spinning jazz, soul, funk, disco, Afro-boogie, and Balearic disco, with records from artists such as Alice Coltrane, Patrick Cowley, Susana Estrada, Degrees of Freedom, and Nu Guinea.

A custom-built sound system anchors the experience, with handcrafted coaxial speakers made from Baltic birch plywood and individually amplified for maximum tonal precision. At its core is a hybrid analog-digital mixer, engineered to highlight the warmth and texture of each record.

Architect Kulapat Yantrasast (WHY Architecture) designed the minimalist space with a sculptural core for focused listening and connection. URUSAI IZAKAYA serves Japanese-Ibizan fusion by chefs Taku Yuji Mikurya and Romain Littière, with dishes like toro sando and red prawn soba. Drinks include natural wines, sake, and specialty cocktails such as lychee martinis.

Urusai aims to create a new kind of musical community—one rooted in discovery, warmth, and shared moments.
