Support. Organize. Sustain (S.O.S.), the initiative founded by DVS1, returns on Friday, October 24th, 2025, with a free, one-day conference during Amsterdam Dance Event. Co-produced with Dekmantel and held at Tolhuistuin, the gathering will explore urgent issues facing the electronic music community.

Produced with editorial support from First Floor, the S.O.S. x Dekmantel conference will feature a day of panels and interviews focused on topics such as fair artist pay, community sustainability, and the creative impact of digital culture.

Participants include Eris Drew and Octo Octa, Barker, Ogazón, MARRØN, and DVS1, alongside voices from FOLD (London), Butik (Slovenia), Bamba (Medellín), and Club Raum (Amsterdam). Journalist Shawn Reynaldo, founder of First Floor, will moderate all sessions.

The program includes a conversation between DVS1 and former Aslice CEO Ethan Holben, reflecting on the platform’s closure and the ongoing struggle for equitable artist compensation. Other discussions will examine how independent clubs and artists can preserve artistic vision in an increasingly commercialized landscape.

“With much of the dance music community changing… we see another opportunity to bring community back into focus,” said Zak “DVS1” Khutoretsky. “I have a renewed motivation to continue the work and bring back Support Organize Sustain.

Dekmantel’s Casper Tielrooij added: “This time, joining forces with Zak and the S.O.S. crew allows us to co-create a program that reflects what artists are really talking about.”
