AlphaTheta and Serato have announced Spotify integration for rekordbox and Serato DJ software. The update allows Spotify Premium users to access the streaming platform’s full catalogue from within rekordbox Performance mode (Mac/Windows), Serato DJ Pro, and Serato DJ Lite.
The new feature is supported in multiple countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Ireland, among others. The integration is now available in rekordbox 7 and Serato DJ Lite and Pro version 3.3.5.
This marks Spotify’s return to DJ platforms after ending support for third-party apps in July 2020, previously citing DRM restrictions. Earlier this year, Apple Music was also added to rekordbox, Serato, and other DJ platforms such as DENON’s Engine DJ.
The update arrives alongside AlphaTheta’s release of the CDJ-3000X, a new media player with enhanced cloud and streaming functionality.
