Aphex Twin has shared new music with two tracks uploaded to SoundCloud under the alias user18081971, widely believed to be his personal account.
Titled ‘Zahl am1 live track 1’ and ‘Zahl am1 live track 1c f760m1 unfinshd’, the uploads went live on November 27th. Both pieces appear to be variations of the same composition. The artwork features a photograph of the artist with his partner, adding a rare personal touch.
In the description for ‘Zahl am1 live track 1c f760m1 unfinshd’, he wrote: “Got many requests for this one from a few years back. Italy, pic with my love from Sicily recently. Need sun, relentlessly raining in the UK. Mixed down on the Zähl, think there are better mixes, will upload them if I find them.”
The release follows last December’s surprise compilation ‘Music From The Merch Desk’ (2016–2023).
