Volkoder is the creative alias of Marcos Benedetti, a producer from São Paulo whose early ambition of becoming an architect gradually shifted toward building electronic music with the same sense of structure and intent.
His first EP, Detroit, set the tone early. The release quickly caught the attention of DJs across the globe and found support from names such as Jamie Jones, Lee Foss, Catz ‘n Dogz, Sandy Rivera, Patrick Topping, and Tube & Berger. A strong opening chapter for a new artist.
That momentum led to a deal with Kittball Records and opened the door to remix work for artists including Guy Gerber, Kerri Chandler, Dennis Ferrer, and Tiger Stripes. By 2014, Volkoder was releasing on labels like Toolroom, Suara, Snatch! OFF, Material, and Hot Creations, alongside the release of his first album.
His tracks became fixtures in sets by Carl Cox, Marco Carola, Luciano, Claude VonStroke, and Nic Fanciulli, with fifteen productions landing in the Beatport Top 100 within a single year. The same period saw him recognized with Best Newcomer DJ and Best Producer Remixer at the 2015 RMCA Awards.
Since then, Volkoder has continued to refine his sound, balancing club function with personal expression. EG.1051 captures him at a point of focus and confidence, connecting past influences with his present direction.
