NYLOVE returns with a bold reinterpretation of a 1997 deep house classic as John Creamer, NOAM (NYC), and Vivian Sessoms present ‘White Powder Dreams’.
A moody, hypnotic update of Farley & Heller’s ‘White Powder Dreams’ (Fire Island), the track brings together Creamer’s influential NYC roots, NOAM’s crisp deep tech production, and Vivian Sessoms’ emotive vocal performance. Anchored by a rolling bassline and rhythmic pads, the original mix flows like a trance-inducing mantra—driven by a sense of deliverance and inner movement.
The release includes three standout remixes. Anhauser (aka Festa Bros) reworks the track into a lush, progressive groove with glistening arpeggios. Retrotech (Manny Ward and Curtis Atchison) deliver a basement rave-ready take with raw, metallic edges. Rissa Garcia closes the package with a mid-tempo version centered on hypnotic pads, vintage house pianos, and warm restraint.
This latest release from NYLOVE marks a welcome return for John Creamer, a pivotal figure from New York’s ‘90s house scene, and signals the continued rise of NOAM (NYC), known for his work with UpAllNight and Arthur Baker. Vivian Sessoms, a veteran collaborator of Ryuichi Sakamoto, Donna Summer, and Stevie Wonder, brings unmistakable soul to the project.
