Venezuelan DJ and producer OddO joins the EG Techno series with a new session that connects his early rave influences with the music he plays and produces today.
OddO returned to Caracas from New York in 1996, founded Torke Records, and began organizing underground parties across the city. In 1998, UNITY1 brought more than 2,000 people together for a 24-hour multimedia rave, while later events including AX and UNITY3 continued developing the local electronic music community.
His EG TECHNO.160 selection moves through acid, driving techno, harder club records, and rhythm-focused productions. The mix features music from OddO, Green Velvet, Coyu, Oscar L, Eli Brown, Daddy Dino, Pedro Delgado, Chicago Loop, Ignition Technician, Mechanic Slave, DJ Cristiao, Wyrus, Chris Chambers, Andy Bsk, TineX, Sandro M., Gonçalo M, G8, and Zoid.
The session also includes four of OddO’s own productions: ‘The Experiment of Music’, ‘Talk 2 Me Dirty’, ‘Fantastic’, and ‘AcidVerb’.
The mix is connected to Electronic Groove’s Venezuela relief initiative, giving listeners an opportunity to support the country through a donation.
