HAAi has released a new improvised track built entirely with Absynth 6, the reimagined soft synth from Native Instruments. The piece arrives with an immersive visualizer by London-based artist Weirdcore.

Commissioned as part of Native Instruments’ ‘Weird by Design’ campaign, the project marks the first in a series pairing boundary-pushing producers with Weirdcore’s distinct visual language. The series celebrates the return of Absynth — a synth known for its surreal soundscapes and featured on recordings by Brian Eno, Aphex Twin, and Björk.

HAAi’s track expands on the euphoric calm explored in her album ‘HUMANiSE’, using Absynth’s signature textures to sculpt a spacious, atmospheric composition. Weirdcore’s visuals respond in kind, blending degraded urban imagery, cathode-ray distortion, and AI-driven dissonance to reflect the instrument’s uncanny tone.

Future episodes will feature original tracks from Manni Dee, Manuka Honey, HEZEN, LUXE, LCN, ex.sess, AM SIN, Wordcolour, Ikava Pii, and more. Each piece was produced entirely with Absynth 6 and will be released via Native Instruments’ Instagram and YouTube channels.

Absynth has always been about altered perception, a way of stepping into sound and seeing differently,” said Nadine Raihani, Director of Product Design at NI. HAAi’s beautiful interpretation exists inside the world of Absynth, with Weirdcore’s visuals giving that world a form that’s uncanny, immersive, and emotionally charged.”

Absynth 6 signals a new chapter for one of electronic music’s most influential soft synths. The overhaul includes full MPE polyphonic aftertouch, surround sound support, and an AI-powered browser. At launch, it includes new presets from Brian Eno, Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith, and more to come in future updates.
