Robert Pattinson has opened up about a collection of unreleased music, much of it produced during the filming of ‘The Batman’. In a new interview with GQ released on Friday, January 23rd, the actor explained that he spent time between takes making electronic tracks in a tent on set, often still wearing the Batman cowl with headphones stretched over it.
Using an MPC, Pattinson said he made “tonnes and tonnes” of material—mostly ambient and electronic in tone—and briefly considered releasing it. While no official plans are in place, he described the sessions as prolific and creatively open-ended.
He framed the music-making as an ongoing but informal process, often recording ideas without pressure to share them. In the interview, Pattinson mentioned moving away from traditional guitar-led songwriting and leaning more into electronic styles, while also expressing admiration for artists like 100 gecs.
Pattinson first spoke about producing music in 2022 and has contributed to film soundtracks in the past, but none of the new material has been released.
