Vietnamese DJ and producer DJ Slowz steps into the EGLO series with EGLO.069, presenting a mix that bridges heritage and contemporary electronic music. The session is now available on SoundCloud and Mixcloud.
Framed as a journey through World, Electronic, and contemporary sounds, the mix weaves Vietnamese musical traditions with global influences spanning from the late 1990s to today. Conceived as a tribute to producers connecting traditional textures with modern sensibilities, the session moves between rhythmic intensity and reflective moments while maintaining a clear club focus.
The tracklist features music by Hương Thanh, Quốc Trung, Trà Đá Connection, Derek, Nook, Integ, ELEK, The Exaltics, Animistic Beliefs, JakoJako, Nguyễn Đỗ Minh Quân (Quanalog), Jarle Bråthen, Kim Dürbeck, Maggie Tra, Red Axes, Bèo Dạt Mây Trôi, HCMC Students, Limebócx, Laurent Jaccoux, Quốc Bảo, Nguyệt Ánh, Lý Trang, Tiny Giant, and Hien.
Born in Hanoi in 1992, Slowz began his artistic path in 2004 within the local breakdancing scene before becoming one of Vietnam’s pioneering break DJs in 2009. After building an international reputation as a competitive B-boy, he expanded into music production and has since become a central figure in the Vietnamese hip-hop community, performing and DJing at events worldwide.
