Concord has acquired UK-based independent label, Ninja Tune. The deal, announced on March 12th, 2026, also includes the label’s publishing arm Just Isn’t Music.

Founded in 1990 by Matt Black and Jonathan More, also known as Coldcut, Ninja Tune has spent more than three decades operating at the forefront of independent music. Under the new agreement, the label will continue to operate with its current leadership team across its UK and US offices.

The acquisition also brings Isn’t Music into Concord’s portfolio. The publishing catalogue includes the majority of songs released through Ninja Tune, as well as works by artists such as The Prodigy, Soulwax, and Nova Twins.

“Over three decades, the team at Ninja Tune has built a label dedicated to independent artistry,” said Concord CEO Bob Valentine. “Their amazing roster and the team’s ambition to continue to grow Ninja Tune seamlessly align with our vision for Concord’s expanding frontline reach.”

Ninja Tune founders Coldcut also commented on the agreement. “Partnering with Concord ensures the culture and ethos that make the label so unique remain, whilst bringing mad Ninja energy and innovation forward.”
