New York producer and DJ Julian Lindsey has released his debut EP, ‘Don’t Know How To Change’, through Sound of Vast.
Available digitally and on 12-inch vinyl, the project opens with the title track, combining house keys, a laid-back vocal, and a late acid passage. Subb-an contributes a dub mix for the vinyl edition, alongside an additional digital-only remix.
The second original, ‘Miami Air’, moves through a deeper groove before Francesca Lombardo reshapes it with a darker arrangement built around vintage synth lines, claps, and a steady four-to-the-floor pulse.
“The EP is really the story of my relationship with house music and a snapshot of where I was in my life when I made these tracks,” Lindsey explains. “The sound is rooted in 2010s house music, which is the era where my love for house music really developed.”
