New single and video arrive ahead of forthcoming album ‘big soaps’.

Australian DJ and producer 1tbsp returns with a new single, ‘Pink Dress’, alongside Australian-Venezuelan artist Cherry Chola. ‘Pink Dress’ follows 1tbsp’s recent single ‘Soulseek’, featuring Soltera, and precedes his upcoming album ‘big soaps’, set for release on August 7th, 2026, via dottidot and Recherche et Developpement.
The new cut finds 1tbsp and Cherry Chola leaning into a sharper, dance-punk-tinged direction. Built from a collaboration that began a few years ago, the track expands their shared language while keeping a direct, club-focused energy at its core.
“Fabiola (Cherry Chola) and I wrote together for the first time a couple of years ago, making ‘Limosina’ in about an hour before she had to run to another session. Fabby is quite prolific, and since then, we’ve made a lot of music together. I love how her voice sits on different styles, and we got to explore that more on ‘Pink Dress’ and on my upcoming album ‘big soaps’; a multi-genre dance record that’s out on August 7th via my own label dottidot, and French imprint Recherche et Developpement,” says 1tbsp.
The single is also accompanied by a self-directed music video shot in Sydney, starring Cherry Chola alongside Soltera, with Sonido Sex on keys and drums. While the track was produced entirely in Ableton, the visual reflects the raw, band-led energy that shapes this new phase in 1tbsp’s sound.
