DownJazz Records has released ‘Lush Grooves – VOL#1,2,3’, the complete remix trilogy reimagining Mark Adams and The Ubiquity Band’s ‘This Is Neo Soul’.

The project connects the original album’s soul-jazz foundation with a wider dancefloor language. Mark Adams, Roy Ayers’ Musical Director for over 25 years, first assembled the ensemble as a tribute to the legacy of Ayers, Lonnie Liston Smith, and the architects of spiritual soul-jazz.

Across the three volumes, DownJazz invited producers from deep house, broken beat, soulful house, bruk, and future-soul backgrounds to reinterpret the material. The series features remixes by Kai Alcé, DJ Spinna, Jimpster, Kaidi Tatham, EVM128, Matica, Makez, Bruk Rogers, Streeton, Don Surf, and others.

The full collection brings the series into one release, linking R&B, downtempo, nu-jazz, electronica, and forward-thinking soul through a shared focus on groove, musicianship, and club culture.
