Adam Freeland just announced the relaunch of his Marine Parade label, with a new release, the ‘Transhuman’ EP, to be out on July 31st, 2026. The project is a collaboration with Duncan Forbes, best known as one half of the pioneering UK duo Spooky. This represents the first new music on the label since 2009 and the first solo-adjacent material from Freeland in sixteen years.

The ‘Transhuman’ EP features broken rhythms, expansive arrangements, and synthetic textures. The sound draws from the artist’s affinity for dub and techno, shaped by his recent time spent away from the dance music circuit.

Freeland gained prominence through his Coastal Breaks series and work on labels like fabric and Global Underground before shifting focus to his band The Acid. Duncan Forbes, meanwhile, continues a career that began with landmark ambient techno and progressive house releases on Guerilla Records.

‘Transhuman’ is the first of three scheduled EPs for 2026, and the title track is available to stream now.
