Massane and Qrion pick 10 tracks ahead of Cross Pollination

Massane and Qrion bring distinct but complementary perspectives to melodic electronic music. The French producer and live act blends melodic house and techno with guitar-led textures, while the Sapporo-born, Austin-based artist moves between melancholic atmospheres, exploratory electronics, and dancefloor-focused house.

The two artists will perform back-to-back at FNGRS CRSSD x CROSS POLLINATION on August 9th, 2026, at Waterfront Park in San Diego. Curated by Lane 8, the event will also feature Lane 8 b2b Sultan + Shepard, Yotto b2b Kasbo, and Ashibah b2b Grigoré.

Ahead of their appearance, Massane and Qrion select 10 tracks that reflect their influences, club sensibilities, and shared interest in emotionally driven electronic music.

1. Stephan Bodzin and Marc Romboy – Kerberos

“I love this track. It’s incredibly simple, but it explores classical harmonies we’re not used to hearing in this genre. Very inspiring.”

2. Kölsch and CamelPhat – Waste My Time

“So unique and emotive. Goosebumps all the way.”

3. Lane 8 and Yotto – I/Y

“A simple tune built around a beautiful riff. Such a hit.”

4. Overmono and High Contrast – If We Ever

“Raw and beautiful.”

5. Calvin Harris and Kasabian – Release The Pressure

“A beautiful club track, musical, emotional, and full of energy.”

6. John Digweed and Dino Lenny – Love & Cream

“Legendary synth melodies. I can listen to it forever.”

7. Melé and KILIMANJARO – Yoruba Riddim

“That big build-up is amazing. Super simple, not many melodies, just drums. Banger!”

8. Gerd Janson and Shan – Surrender

“When I first heard it in Denis Sulta’s Boiler Room, I lost my mind. The disco samples and groovy club drums are so wild.”

9. Mat.Joe and CamelPhat – World In Action

“The bassline is super epic. I love the ’90s rave vibe. Acid house music”

10. Lone and KETTAMA – The Way You Feel

“Lone’s dreamy synth and KETTAMA’s big open filter synth—sorry, I don’t know how to explain it—are great. The best part is that I can hear both of their styles in one song.”
