Alex Generis has released his latest EP, ‘You Bought Flowers,’ through his Love Is Loud imprint. The new record is already available to stream and purchase across all major digital platforms.
The opening track, ‘You Bought Flowers For My Parents,’ pairs a textured bassline with a moving melody and vocals written to preserve a deeply personal moment.
‘Muse Touch’ grew from a three-hour jam session with two close friends. Built with modular synths, original vocal percussion, and fragments from the recording, the track reflects on memory, gratitude, grief, and the moments people cannot hold onto.
Meanwhile, in ‘Akusala’, Generis shapes an electric guitar riff into a hypnotic texture before closing with a sorrowful chord progression. The final track, ‘Hell Is What You Make It’, moves into darker territory through a forceful bassline and detailed sound design that never fully resolves.
The EP follows Generis’ 2025 releases on Sommersville and Saisons. It also marks the latest chapter for Love Is Loud, which began as a series of underground events in Montreal before becoming a record label.
