SoundCloud has launched a beta for direct music purchases, allowing selected Artist Pro creators to sell tracks directly from their profiles while keeping the proceeds from each sale, excluding applicable fees and taxes.

The feature lets fans discover, purchase, and download music without leaving SoundCloud. Participating artists can set prices for eligible tracks, make streamed music available for purchase, and monitor sales through Artist Studio and the Fan Support Dashboard. Downloads will be supplied in the format uploaded by the artist, including MP3 or WAV.

SoundCloud says more than 250,000 artists have linked over 2.4 million tracks to external music platforms, while the service sends more than half a million users to third-party music stores each year.

The beta initially covers approximately 200 U.S.-based Artist Pro creators with Fan Support enabled. SoundCloud plans to gradually expand access, with broader availability for eligible creators expected this fall.
